Two salons. No digital footprint. Day one.
A franchisee is opening two TONI&GUY salons, Sobha Arcadia in Thanisandra and Prestige Tech Forest in Varthur. Neither has a website, a Google listing or a review yet. This is the record from zero: who they compete with, what was built first, and what launches next.
Stage 1 of 5Website: preview buildGoogle profiles: not yet on Maps
Where the work starts
Five stages from invisible to fully booked. This case is at stage one.
Competitor audit around both salons. 355-page site in preview, built for search and AI answers.
Two verified listings with services, prices, photos and the franchisor's booking link.
A review ask after every visit, named stylists, replies to every review.
Search and Maps ads in a tight radius, with calls and bookings as the only conversions.
WhatsApp reminders and a monthly report in bills and bookings.
Who the new salons are up against
Every salon Google Maps shows on a "hair salon" search centred on each new site, plotted by distance. Dot size is the review count. Hover a dot. Measured Maps, 19 Oct 2026.

Reviews are the moat
Median reviews per competitor. Varthur's market is deeper: a typical rival has nearly twice the reviews of a Thanisandra rival.
What the audit found
- Distance decides. 20 rivals sit within 3 km of Thanisandra and 13 within 3 km of Varthur, where the biggest names (Ethnix, Green Trends, Profile) are 3.5–4.2 km west.
- Ratings don't separate anyone. The median rival is 4.7★ at both sites, so the listing has to win on photos, prices and proof.
- The brand is already on the map. Other TONI&GUY and Essensuals salons nearby will collect "toni and guy near me" searches unless each new listing is named and localised clearly.
- The deeper audit. Danny's audit of 35 rivals within 7–10 km covered their websites, content, offers, booking and calls to action, and shaped the page plan. Stated by Danny

355 pages, built for the search, not the brochure
Every page type on the preview site, sized by count. Each page answers one question a client types before choosing a salon. Measured from the site map.
Answer-first pages are written so Google's AI answers and assistants can quote them (AEO), as well as rank them (SEO). Prices, phone numbers, hours and launch photos stay marked "To be confirmed" until the franchisee confirms them.
What a client sees today, and on opening day
Today
- Searches "salon in Thanisandra": 36 salons on Maps, none of them this one.
- Searches "TONI&GUY near me": other branches and Essensuals salons appear first.
- No public website yet (preview only), no prices, no way to book.
Opening day (planned)
- A verified listing per salon with services, prices, photos and booking.
- 355 pages that answer the questions clients ask, each with a booking call to action.
- Reviews asked for after every visit, and every one answered.
